Help Bring Christmas to
Crittenden County Foster Care Children
The 2nd Annual Santa's 5K for Foster Care is a community wide event whose goal is to share Jesus Christ's love. The money raised will be used to assist the foster care children of Crittenden County. The proceeds will be distributed as follows: Christmas gifts for all children, basic living items for the children throughout the year, and general support of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Crittenden County.
Race Day - November 17,
2007
Place: Worthington Park, 990 Missouri Street, West Memphis, Arkansas
Pre-packet pick-up will be Friday the 16th from 11:00am until 1:00pm and from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at First Presbyterian Church, West Memphis.
For safety, no pets, bicycles or skates please. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Racers will receive a 5K t-shirt while supplies last.
The Start/Finish Line is professionally managed.
Schedule:
7:30am - 8:15am - Day of race registration
and packet pick-up. Packets will not be mailed.
8:20am - Runners to the start line
8:25am - Prayer and Announcements
8:30am - Official start of Santa's 5K for Foster Care
10:00am - Official start of 100 Yards Kids' Dash
The 100 Yard Kids Dash is free to all children. A day of
race registration form with the waiver signed by a parent is required to participate.
Awards immediately following Kids' Dash
Awards: Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female, and top male and female master (40 & over). Awards will also be given to the top three in each age group. For the 100 Yard Kids' Dash, all children will receive a blue ribbon of participation.
Age Brackets: 10 and Under, 11 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 and over.
Registration: Pre-registration is $15.00 for Adults, with day of race registration being $18.00. Pre-registration is $10.00 for 18 years & under, with day of race registration being $13.00.
Course: This 3.1 mile flat course begins and ends in Worthington Park and travels through the oldest neighborhoods in West Memphis.
